Are you fed up of using food as a crutch - but you're not quite sure what to do instead?
Do you have a skewed relationship with food where you’re either being really good and feeling deprived or way off track and feeling guilty, ashamed and even a bit sick?
Do you wish that, just for once, you could step out of your responsibilities to others and have someone there to support you, fully and with no expectation of support in return?
I know that when it comes to your health and your body you want to get things right. But I know how frustrating and difficult that can be when food is the way you cope with all the responsibilities and stress that you have in your life.
And because we’re all different, sometimes what you want, rather than going for a one size fits all approach that group programmes and off the shelf books, classes and systems take, is to have that one person, focused on supporting you, emotionally and practically, in finding personal solutions, to your issues and your specific situation.
Maybe you don’t want to share the reasons you want help with your weight, food and body issues with the whole world. These can be deep seated, painful and just too much personal info to bandy about in a group forum.
Maybe you don’t want to listen to everyone else’s problems, you just want to focus on yours; you don’t need to fill your already busy head with all the excuses that other people come up with for not focusing and doing the work they need to do to make the changes they need to make.
Maybe you simply don’t have the time or the headspace to commit to being part of a group and want to make the most of the time you do have to sorting out your own personal situation. I totally get that; time is precious and when you're the carer, giver and supporter in your own life, you want to make sure that you’re using your limited time and your limited energy wisely.
Maybe you’d rather do this without sharing your weight, your jeans size, your reasons or any other information with anyone else because it feels too raw, too painful and too shameful
If that’s the case then working 1-2-1 with me is perfect for you.
I’ve worked with lots of women on a 1-2-1 basis over the last 7 years and my forte is gently getting right to the core of what’s really going on for you and giving you the tools and the support to work through it. I empower you to express yourself fully and feel confident and heard so that you can break free from the shackles of food and body image with no guilt, stress or dieting. I'm not kidding when I refer to myself as your personal cheerleader!
Having also struggled with my own relationship with food and body for over 15 years before creating my business, I can offer you the very best support when it comes to developing a normal relationship with food, a growing acceptance of your body and learning about the link between your general fulfilment in life and the way it impacts on your eating habits.
You can tell me absolutely anything - I'm unshockable. It's highly likely that I've been through it or done it or I've already heard it from one of my clients. Whatever you've been through, whatever you're doing, I'll never ever judge you, I'll simply listen and support.
When I work one on one I can adapt to your needs and use a number of different approaches and therapies to absolutely get to the core of why you’ve been a ‘diet industry sweetheart’ for so long and to help you to finally break free, once and for all.
We’ll work together for a month, by phone or video messaging. We'll probably have one call of about 40-50 minutes each week. You'll be able to message me anytime if you need a bit of advice or just a bit of support and hand holding. And of course I want you to tell me all about your wins too!
Over the month we'll use my tried and tested 3-step approach to repairing your relationships with food, body and soul.
We'll look at where you are now in relation to food, your body and your general well-being, what has contributed to you getting to this point and we'll look at what you want to change going forward.
We'll use my signature journal to unravel your thoughts and feelings and create the new vision and next steps on your journey to food and body freedom. You'll keep this to refer back to as well as being able to print it out over and over again so that you can follow exactly the same steps whenever you need to.
We'll unravel all the bits and pieces that have gone before to bring you to where you are, working on releasing the emotions, beliefs and memories that are preventing you from feeling good about food and in your body. We'll also set you free from all the 'diet baggage' that you're carrying around with you.
I'll hold the space for you to discover what it is that you need to do, need to have and need to be to move forward and change the relationship you have with food, your body and yourself.
Together we'll look at the practical tools that you can use and how you can apply them in your day to day life to create a happier, healthier and more fulfilled lifestyle.
I'll select the therapies, resources and exercises that I think will give you the best results and support throughout the month. Your month will be a fully bespoke mix of existing resources and new ones created just for you based on our one to one coaching sessions.
After your fully supported month you can choose to go it alone, or you can opt for my maintenance programme (still focused solely on you and your ongoing journey).
When we work 1-2-1 you’ll have my focused attention on your relationship with food and your body and I’ll be helping you to look at your lifestyle and where you can make small tweaks to add up to big forward steps as well as removing the obstacles that you are putting in your own way.
Your financial investment is £300 for your fully supported month but you can secure your spot for £150 today and pay the balance in 30 days.
However, the most important investment is your time and your commitment. Are you ready?
What kind of techniques and tools can you expect during the month?
- Active listening and person centred counselling techniques - this helps us both to fully understand exactly where you are, right now
- Coaching - once we've established what is happening for you now and what led you here, we can look at what you want to change and how you might do that
- Mentoring - I'll teach you exercises that have helped me and my clients to understand and transform our relationships with food, body and soul
- Hypnotherapy - either existing recordings that are tried and tested or bespoke recordings to eliminate limiting beliefs and support your new behaviours and habits
- Reiki and other energy work - Can help with all sorts of aspects, both physical and emotional / spiritual.
- Cheerleading - because I believe in you, even when you might not.
- Your own electronic workbook to record your progress and to keep for future use or reference.
This is not an easy way out – I can’t do any of the work for you. What I can do is support you and guide you through the process, giving you the tools to get your relationship with food, body and soul back on track. Whilst you’re working with me, I’ll be your personal cheerleader and chief encourager.
This is not for you if:

- You only want to exercise to burn fat

- You’re ready to learn to be happy in the body you have now
- You understand that your health is a balance of physical and mental aspects and are committed to working on both

I only have 6 spots available at any one time, so if you think it’s something that may be for you then don’t hang around. Choose to pay 2 installments of £150 or £300 in full.
Got a question?
Here’s what former 1-2-1 clients have to say:
Rachel has a gift for listening attentively and making you feel heard and then getting to the core of the issue very quickly. She has enabled me to see things much more clearly and has made me feel more powerful and in control as she always reminds me that I have a choice in any situation.
Rachel helped me to realise that taking care of ME was very important and it would lead to me being better able to take care of my family.
I've realised that by doing little things just for me, leads to my feeling good about myself and then sets up a positive chain of thoughts and actions.
I really enjoyed working with Rachel. Her approach is authentic and practical but also inspirational. I would recommend Rachel to anyone. She will show you a better way to live, which will ultimately lead to a happier outlook on your life. Leila, London
"I thought I knew myself pretty well and what my issues were but by working with Rachel I found that things I thought were insignificant were having a huge impact on my life. Working with Rachel has been a really great investment on a personal level." Kirsty, Leeds
I've found working with Rachel hugely rewarding. She continues to make committed effort to find strategies that work for me and to get to know my issues better. Rachel has a huge number of practical techniques that are easy to remember and use and I have been hugely impressed by the results. I continue to use these myself and to try and adopt her measured approach to view things more clearly: these continue to provide me with a happier, calmer and more confident approach to life. I have no hesitation in recommending Rachel's skills and can't praise her highly enough. Emily, London
- Because I’ve been where you are now and I want to show you that it doesn’t have to be that way.
- Because I will challenge anyone who says that you have to be skinny to be healthy, attractive or happy.
- Because I want you to succeed and feel happy!
My journey with emotional eating started at the age of 20 after a particularly traumatic event which left me lacking confidence, scared of my own shadow and unable to leave the house on my own.
My boyfriend worked nights, so I relied on my flatmate for support. We’d go to the supermarket and buy comfort food and alcohol so that I could eat away the awful emotions that I was feeling at the time.
I would eat multiple bags of filled doughnuts every night whilst I watched TV on my own and washed them down with half a bottle of vodka or rum just so that I could sleep.
I’m not sure how I came out of that time, it seems like such a blur now but the one thing that never went away was my desire to eat every single time things got difficult or stressful. And an extra couple of stone that I just couldn’t shift permanently, no matter how many diets I tried.
You see, over the next 15 years as I battled with my weight, I swung from one diet to binge eating to another diet and another, always reverting in between to my binge and comfort eating ways.
My weight yo-yoed up and down, at one point even qualifying as a consultant for one of the big UK slimming companies, only to pile the weight all back on again.
I tried everything, from the Hip & Thigh diet to slimming pills, shakes and Aloe Vera gel to off the shelf hypnotherapy products.
I’ve been that mum who hides in the pantry eating a whole box of Jaffa cakes when my life got tough but I didn’t want my kids to know.
I’ve been that girl who ate through an entire cheesecake when I’ve had bad news (and then felt so sick, guilty and ashamed).
And I’ve been that woman who’s tempted to go back to the diet because it ‘worked last time’ only to discover that it’s the failing at the diet that’s making me more miserable than being fat.
But about 8 years ago I hit rock bottom emotionally. Life was really tough and all I wanted to do was curl up and cry, oh, and eat. Realising that my feelings and my eating were tied together I decided it was time to get some support so that I could get a handle on coping with my emotions and also on my eating habits and I’ve never looked back.
That’s why, once I knew it was possible, I decided to set up Beautiful Swans, helping women like you (and me) to shake off the shackles of yo-yo dieting, understand the connections between your emotions and your eating habits and repair your relationships with food, body and soul.
Over the last 7 years I have helped women like to you change your relationship with food, to stop emotionally eating and to cope better with what’s going on in your life.
I use a huge range of therapies and techniques but the underlying key is holding space for you, without judgement, to help you to discover how to create a fulfilled life on your terms and to give you the tools and skills to cope with it without using food.
I’ve helped some women lose weight but I’ve helped more women to feel empowered about their abilities to cope with whatever life throws at them and to know that their value is not tied up in their weight or their jeans size.
Shall we get started?
