Life changes. Things change and move and we either adapt and flex or we get stuck. It’s been a long time since I sat down to blog and things have changed for me. I think it’s been 2 or maybe even 3 years and my brand Beautiful Swans is no more. She served me well but it’s time to move on to pastures new.  But also to still keep on supporting you amazing women who don’t appreciate just how amazing you really are.

I want to show you just how much we are all the same. How we all have imposter syndrome, we all doubt ourselves, we all feel anxious sometimes and we worry about the things we can control and the things we can’t. I want to let you see my journey – although I’m not going anywhere in particular, I’m just trying to get through life, feeling that I left my mark, made people feel better about themselves and was the best version of myself that I could be, always.

We’ll look at wellbeing, mental health, dog walking, parenting, letting go and anything else that might crop up. I’ll be starting a podcast and interviewing some amazing women who are down to earth and inspirational, just doing their best to get through and live their version of their best life. And we’ll be doing it all through my new brand; Women Who Shine.

You might recognise the concept or you may not. I’ve taken it from one of my favourite ‘poems’. I use quotation marks because it’s not really a poem; it’s a long quote from a book by Marianne Williamson. But I love it and it inspired my new branding. I hope you feel inspired by it too and I hope you’ll come along for the ride with me. 🙂

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness

That most frightens us

We ask ourselves

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

… Your playing small

Does not serve the world

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking

So that other people won’t feel insecure around you

We are all meant to shine

As children do.

We were born to make manifest

The glory… that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us

It’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

And as we’re liberated from our own fear,

Our presence automatically liberates others.”

Our Deepest Fear‘ by Marianne Williamson, an excerpt from A Return to Love.
